LOVE

Love is at the heart of my life. I believe that it lies at the core of humanity's purpose here on Earth. Therefore, I am devoting an entire section of this site to Love. Hopefully this Love shines through in the rest of the site as well!

Anarchism

Why do I fly a black flag on my bicycle? It's an anarchist flag, and I'm an anarchist! You can learn more about anarchism here. It's a lot more fun and a lot less scary than you may think.

Carbondale

I live in Carbondale, Southern Illinois. If you live around Carbondale, this is a good place to check for local resources. If you're from far away, it's a good place to learn about the strange and wonderful land that I call home.

I've studied several forms of energy healing, ranging from a year at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing to local folk studies in energy work. This offers a basic overview of what energy healing is.

Magic

Magic is the art of changing consciousness at will. Whether you see it as a purely psychological approach to personal empowerment or a means of creating external changes, magic has the power to create transformation for the better.

NONVIOLENCE

This is the outline of a presentation about nonviolence that I did several years ago here on campus. My views have evolved since then, but I don't have any new writings on the subject yet.

Nudism

Nudism, also known as naturism, is a social and political movement that advocates and defends social nudity in private and public places.

PERMACULTURE

Permaculture is short for PERMAnent agriCULTURE or simply PERMAnent CULTURE. It's a design philosophy that seeks to observe and mimick the energy flows of the natural world rather than struggling against them. I recently received my permaculture certificate and am looking into various possible ways of sharing this new knowledge and skill set in my region.

PHILOSOPHY

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy back in 2000. Alas, most of this Philosophy text is from my undergrad days... :) My views have evolved tremendously over the past several years, some of which may not be reflected in these documents. However, much of it still holds true -- and if there's a particular section that interests you, let me know, and I'll probably rewrite that section first!

Polyamory

Polyamory, which means "many loves," is the philosophy and practice of having loving intimate relationships with more than one partner at a time with the full knowledge and consent of everyone involved.

Live Foods and Raw Foods

For about four years, I was a 100% live/raw foodist. Then, after some pre-existing adrenal challenges worsened, I decided to go back to cooked foods. However, I still advocate a high-percentage live foods diet for your health and the health of the planet. This is where you can find more information, including a basic introduction, recipe ideas, links, products, and live food forums.

Revolution of One

This is the first book in my Revolution series. It discusses ten personal practices, eight community organizations, and five bioregional projects that can help you to empower yourself, organize your community, and transform your society.
